Wine Advocate (95)The 2015 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru is a magical wine, offering up a youthfully reserved bouquet of lemon oil, preserved citrus, white flowers, subtle oak vanillin, wheat toast and a smoky top note. On the palate, the wine is searingly intense, with superb concentration, lovely depth and dimension and incredible energy in this ripe white Burgundy vintage. Unsurprisingly, this is the most tensile, vertical wine in the Ramonet cellars this year and will benefit accordingly from bottle age. |

The Rapet Pere & Fils Corton-Pougets Grand Cru 2015 is a remarkable expression of French viticulture. Produced in the prized Grand Cru vineyard, Corton-Pougets, this Burgundy red emanates from the illustrious house of Rapet Pere & Fils, a family-owned winery with a legacy tracing back to the 18th century. The 2015 vintage, particularly celebrated for its robust structure and depth, resonates with this distinct lineage. The wine matures impeccably in oak barrels, which adeptly highlight its complexity while retaining the grape's finesse. Notably, the composition is 100% Pinot Noir, a grape that is traditionally arduous to cultivate but revered for yielding unmatched character and depth. The Rapet Pere & Fils Corton-Pougets Grand Cru 2015 unveils an array of notes including ripe cherry, currant and earthy undertones, rounded off by a harmonious tannin structure. It is a spectacular choice for those seeking an exquisite accompaniment to rich, flavourful dishes or savouring on its own. |

Wine Advocate (95)The 2015 Chablis 1er Cru les Butteaux escaped any damage by hail and is, in Isabelle’s opinion, the most classical and Chablis-like, whereas other wines express the growing season. It has a pretty, perfumed, perhaps exotic bouquet compared to the other cuvées this year and is very expressive, with apricot blossom emerging with time. The palate is very well balanced with a precise line of acidity and, again, is very expressive with a shimmering, quite captivating finish that exudes both mineralité and fruit intensity. This has turned into an outstanding Butteaux that punches above my prediction from barrel. |

Wine Advocate (92)The 2015 Chablis 1er Cru Forets has a tightly wound bouquet, perhaps a little resinous compared to other premier crus, with a touch of nutmeg developing with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a citric twist on the entry—touches of orange zest and clementine leading to a pretty, poised and quite elegant finish. What a beauty this Forêts is becoming. |

Wine Advocate (94)The 2015 Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre has a tightly wound bouquet with a slight fumé note at first, then a trace of sea cave and a tang of the sea. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity. This has wonderful harmony, a dash of nutmeg and spice that emerges toward the finish and a very persistent aftertaste that will not go away (not that you want it to). This is an outstanding Montée de Tonnerre destined to give a lot of Chablis-lovers a lot of pleasure. |

Wine Advocate (87-89)The 2015 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos has a pleasant peach and nectarine scented bouquet that might not sing of Chablis, but is attractive in a rather obvious way. The palate is medium-bodied with a slight viscosity on the entry, hints of praline and almond towards the finish. It is attractive, but drink it in its youth. |

Vinous (94)The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru is showing quite a lot of reduction on the nose, which is quite savory at first, with hints of dried blood infusing the black and blue fruit. The focused, well-balanced palate is full of energy, delivering very fine, supple tannin and a perfectly pitched line of acidity. It doesn’t quite deliver the complexity one would expect, although the finish is undoubtedly refined and persistent. Good potential, but it needs five years in bottle. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. |

Vinous (93)The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Hauts Doix 1er Cru has a more compact, high-toned bouquet than Drouhin’s Chambolle premier cru tasted alongside, with darker fruit (blueberry and bilberry) complementing the red fruit. The palate is sweet and rounded on the entry and quite candied in style, but displays perfect acidity. There is plenty of substance toward the finish, as well as the roundness one seeks in Chambolle-Musigny. A touch of spiciness develops with aeration .This is a marvelous premier cru. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. |

Vinous (93)The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru has an engaging, enticing, detailed bouquet of tart red cherry, red currant, crushed stone and subtle undergrowth/fern aromas that gather momentum with aeration. The palate is beautifully balanced, with integrated new oak that complements and enhances the substance of this outstanding Chambolle-Musigny. It just feels natural and self-assured at this early stage, which is surely is a good omen for the future. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. |

Vinous (90+)Healthy dark red. Aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, licorice, rock and game are slightly wild in an enticing way. At once rich and juicy in the mouth, with firm acidity giving the black fruit flavors a penetrating quality for the vintage. Comes across as clearly more tannic than the 2016 version but with plenty of buffering material. This very concentrated village offering finishes with surprising length and firm mineral-driven acidity, and may be in the process of shutting down in bottle. |

Vinous (96)The 2015 Chambertin Grand Cru has a very traditional, well-defined and somehow noble bouquet evidencing some stem addition that is complementary to the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. This does not have the spellbinding precision of Rousseau's Chambertin tasted alongside, but depth, grit, spiciness and impressive structure render the finish utterly compelling. Cellar this for at least another decade; it will surely be worth the wait. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. |

Vinous (88)The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru feels a little earthy and disjointed on the nose and never quite gets out of second gear. The palate is medium-bodied with light, rather dry tannin, and simple and rather mealy toward the brettanomyces-tinged finish. This is a bit disappointing after a more promising barrel showing. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. |

We found the wines in 2015 very easy and forward to taste, with as much focus on freshness as concentration, so there wasn’t a complete break from the 2014s in that sense. The hope is that as the wines mature they will continue to show the balance and classicism they displayed from the barrel. Our expectation is that they will do so and the best wines will live for a very long time with a genuinely satisfying pattern of maturation throughout their life.
