James Suckling (99)I love the aromas of violets with liquorice and subtle brown sugar. This is a full-bodied merlot with fabulous tannins and a wonderful finish. It shows reserve and balance, with striking complex flavours of orange peel, light berries and chocolate. Pure magic. Goes on for minutes. One of the best Redigaffis ever. Better in 2016. |

The splendour of Venissa Rosso 2011, a notably distinguished Italian red, showcases the mastery of world-renowned producers, Bisol. An impeccable fusion of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this exclusivity is a paragon of the splendid wines of Venetian Lagoon's Mazzorbo Island. Raised with meticulous care in the historical walled vineyard, this ruby-red vino unveils a robust bouquet of sun-kissed berries, harmoniously balanced by subtle notes of earthy spice. After a loving harvest, the grapes are expertly macerated and matured in French oak barriques for over two years, underscoring the rich taste profiles. This punctuated by the fascinating touch of salinity from the unique terroir helps underscore its one-of-a-kind specificity. Opulent in taste and aroma, the incomparable Venissa Rosso 2011 merits a place in any devoted oenophile's collection. Savour its unparalleled richness and relish the intricate journey of every sip. Truly, an exceptional epicurean experience awaits. |

Wine Advocate (96)The 2011 Barolo Lazzarito is a landmark wine and one of the best expressions made region-wide in this challenging vintage. The bouquet is gorgeous thanks to the never-ending aromas of dark fruit, licorice and balsam herb that peel off the top. The Lazzarito vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba is characterized by thick soils and deep shifts between daytime and nighttime temperatures. These are important factors that lead to quality fruit despite the summer heat. |

Vinous (96)The 2011 Barolo Ravera is once again the most vibrant and nuanced of the Vietti Barolos. Freshly cut flowers, crushed rocks, mint and bright red stone fruits are all shaped by a very classic sense of mineral-inflected drive that is such a Ravera signature. The 2011 is a more than worthy follow up to the epic 2010. It's great to see this high-altitude district in Novello finally getting its due. |

Vinous (95+)I am tempted to say the 2011 Barolo Rocche is another surprise, especially for attendees who had not tasted it yet. Soaring aromatics, silky tannins and vibrant, saline notes all make the 2011 absolutely delicious today. The 2011 will be even better in time, but it is a terrific example of contemporary Barolo that does not need to be cellared for years or decades to deliver pleasure. |
