D'Aiguilhe

Vinous - Neal Martin (91)
The 2020 Château d'Aiguilhe Blanc has an understated bouquet that has closed up since I tasted it from barrel. Light aromas of honeysuckle and jasmine surface with aeration but refuse to click into fifth gear. The palate is well balanced with a lively, Sancerre-like entry with Anjou pear and gooseberry. Sharp acidity, but not shrill, this has fine tension with a very clever and subtle reduction on the finish. Very fine.Inc. VAT£259.49 -
James Suckling (91)
Beautiful aromas and flavors of juicy black plums, candied cherries and strawberries. This is also salty and very mineral. Full body, good acidity, velvety tannins and a long, spicy finish. Drink now.Inc. VAT£291.64 -
Jeb Dunnuck (91-93)
A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc brought up in 30% new barrels, the 2017 Château d'Aiguilhe offers a gorgeous perfume of framboise, blueberries, strawberries, and flowers. Possessing medium body, fine, silky tannin, impeccable balance and obvious minerality on the finish, it’s seriously good Côtes de Castillon that over-delivers.Inc. VAT£503.38 -

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)
The 2020 d'Aiguilhe captures all of the exuberance of the vintage. Jammy and explosive, the 2020 offers up a heady mélange of raspberry preserves, mocha, spice and rose petal. This lush, extravagantly rich wine is a real beauty, but the style is definitely pushed in the direction of ripeness and textural intensity. Give the tannins a few years to soften.Inc. VAT£190.24
