D'Aiguilhe
-
Vinous - Antonio Galloni (88-90)
The 2018 d'Aiguilhe Blanc is 100% Sauvignon Blanc done in steel. Lemon confit and floral notes and a touch of reduction, add character as well as a good bit of energy, within the context of the year. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later.Inc. VAT£284.69 -
Vinous - Neal Martin (91)
The 2020 Château d'Aiguilhe Blanc has an understated bouquet that has closed up since I tasted it from barrel. Light aromas of honeysuckle and jasmine surface with aeration but refuse to click into fifth gear. The palate is well balanced with a lively, Sancerre-like entry with Anjou pear and gooseberry. Sharp acidity, but not shrill, this has fine tension with a very clever and subtle reduction on the finish. Very fine.Inc. VAT£233.09 -
James Suckling (92-93)
There’s real clarity of fruit in this young wine with blackcurrant and blackberry flavors, medium body, polished tannins and a persistent finish.Inc. VAT£213.04 -
Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)
The 2020 d'Aiguilhe captures all of the exuberance of the vintage. Jammy and explosive, the 2020 offers up a heady mélange of raspberry preserves, mocha, spice and rose petal. This lush, extravagantly rich wine is a real beauty, but the style is definitely pushed in the direction of ripeness and textural intensity. Give the tannins a few years to soften.Inc. VAT£191.44
