Belair-Monange
This St. Emilion Chateau traces aspects of its lineage to the 1300s, yet 2008 heralded great change with a new name and a change in winemaking. Stringent selection and later picking is yielding riper fruit. A long term replanting plan is underway. This estate is producing its best wine in decades.

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (90)
The 2019 Annonce de Bélair-Monange is the second wine of the château. It offers up succulent dark cherry fruit, spice and dried flowers, along with veins of saline minerality that give the wine its shape and energy. The combination of fruit and vibrancy is quite appealing. Although Annonce is a second wine, its persistence and class are undeniably top notch.Inc. VAT£502.84 -
Vinous - Neal Martin (97)
The 2019 Bélair-Monange shows wonderful delineation and focus on the nose, which presents a cornucopia of red fruit, crushed stone, wilted rose petal and light black truffle aromas. It seems to gain complexity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, fine delineation and a velvety texture. This builds toward a lavish finish, with dark chocolate and cocoa notes lingering on the aftertaste. It will need several years in bottle but should repay those with the wherewithal to cellar.Inc.
