Clerc Milon
Baron de Rothschild bought Château Clerc Milon in 1970 when he recognised its quality terroir. Major renovations were finished in 2007. The 45 hectare vineyard is planted 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and small parcels of Petit Vedot and Carménère. In fact, Clerc Milon has one of the largest plantings of Carménère in Bordeaux (some planted back in 1947). The vines average an impressive 53 years old.
