Croix de Labrie
Chateau Croix de Labrie is one of the smallest Grand Cru estates in St. Emilion. One of the last remaining Garage wines from the 1990s (meaning the production is small enough to be aged in the owner’s garage). Michel Rolland and Jean Luc Thunevin are the consultants. The wine is lush, seductive, open and drinks well young.

Wine Advocate (93)
A tiny production St.-Emilion, the 2000 Croix de Labrie offers a big, thick mouthful of wine, loads of flavor, and a distinctive, modern style emphasizing melted chocolate, graphite, coffee bean, creme de cassis, and jammy black currants. While not terribly subtle, it is loaded with flavor. Enjoy this juicy, fully mature effort over the next 5-7 years.Inc. VAT£1,541.12 -
Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (90)
Medium red. Bright aromas of cherry, blackberry, minerals and chocolatey oak. Fat and fruity, with mineral and tobacco notes complicating the wine's currant and cherry flavors. This offers early accessibility.Inc. VAT£935.58 -
James Suckling (98-99)
The focus and texture of this wine is really something. It’s totally transparent with blackberries, blueberries, earth, stone and mushrooms. Flowers too. Full-bodied with firm tannins that give super form and length to this. Freshness. Almost all merlot with a tiny dash of cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon. Perhaps the best ever? Certainly at the same level as the 2019. About 14,000 bottles made.Inc. VAT£558.64 -

The energy keeps going. 87% merlot, 8% cabernet sauvignon and 5% cabernet franc. From biodynamically grown grapes.Inc. VAT£644.69 -
