Vinous (93)
The 2009 Echézeaux wraps around the palate with layers of bright red fruit. This is a beautiful, vibrant 2009 with plenty of upper register notes and energy. Mint, sweet spices and raspberries wrap around the finish. The ripeness of the year comes through but that element is nicely balanced by the wine's focus and energy. My sense is that the 2009 will be even better once it drops some baby fat.Inc. VAT£959.54 -
Vinous (94)
Dark cherries, plums, spices, menthol and licorice are some of the many notes that are woven together in the 2009 Grands- Echézeaux. I very much like the depth and intensity of the fruit. Today the 2009 appears to be holding much of its ultimate potential in reserve. Ideally the wine needs a few more years to flesh out. The fragrant, silky finish leaves me quite hopeful for the future.Inc. VAT£3,075.64
