Vinous (92-94)
The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts 1er Cru has a detailed bouquet, quite intense in style, featuring expressive green apple, slate and mint aromas that become more vocal with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and what might be a touch of botrytized fruit toward the finish, though Sabine assured me there was none. In any case, this is a very well-crafted Les Referts that should age well in bottle.Inc. VAT£874.84 -
Vinous (86-88)
The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts 1er Cru, which is the final vintage as the contract has run its course with the owner, lacks a little tension and mineralité on the nose - a bit flat. The palate is better with fine acidity, quite malic, yet it doesn't possess the complexity of Mollard's best Chassagnes.Inc. VAT£554.42 -
Vinous (85)
The 2020 Bourgogne Blanc, which had been bottled in August, has a fresh and lively bouquet with green apple and citrus scents. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, with just a bit of softness on the finish.Inc. VAT£323.09 -
Vinous (85-87)
The 2021 Bourgogne Blanc has a simple but bright malic nose, well-defined and a little flinty in style. The palate is well balanced with bitter lemon on the entry, moderate depth and a short saline finish. Fine.Inc. VAT£353.09
