Vinous (90-92)
The 2020 Meursault Les Grands Charrons is raised half in demi-muids and half in traditional Burgundy barrels with around 20% new oak. This is a little resinous on the nose, touches of beeswax and honeysuckle, needing a little coaxing from the glass. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, taut and fresh, just the right amount of bitterness with stem ginger towards the spicy finish. Lovely.Inc. VAT£564.04 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (90-92)
Clear pale lemon. The nose is a little richer and riper – also, because this has not yet been racked out of barrel, the Tesson shows the oak a touch more than the preceding wines, but it is nicely integrated. We have moved up a step in intensity. Very good fruit acid balance, this will be a Meursault to savour in 4 to 6 years. Tasted: 10/1/2021Inc. VAT£668.44 -
