Grand Village 2008 (12x37.5cl)

Wine Advocate (87)

Tasted at Justerini & Brooks agency tasting in London. The Château Grand Village 2008 has a foursquare and slightly austere bouquet that seems strict and serious. The palate is more approachable with firm tannin, a sprinkle of white pepper over the black fruit with an iron note toward the finish. I appreciate the freshness and vitality here. Not a complex Grand Village, but one that should continue to develop in bottle. Give it another couple of years.

Grand Village 2012 (12x37.5cl)

Wine Advocate (87-88)

Owned by the proprietor of Chateau Lafleur (the Guinaudeau family), this blend of 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc was harvested between September 24 and October 12. It is a sexy, elegant, fruity effort with lots of raspberry and cherry notes, medium body and sweet tannin. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

Grand Village 2015 (6x75cl)

Wine Advocate (90)

The 2015 Grand Village is deep garnet-purple in color with a nose of warm plums, black forest cake and spice box with notions of anise and tilled soil. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy with nice freshness and plenty of juicy/earth-laced fruit to pave the long finish.
