Good deep red-ruby. Cool aromas and flavors of raspberry, red cherry and crushed rock lifted by pepper and herbs. Pure, juicy and precise if a bit youthfully imploded, but already showing terrific sappy intensity. Finishes very long and perfumed, with a serious tannic spine. Vinous - Neal Martin (92)
The 2016 Bibian has a tightly-wound bouquet that demands more coaxing than its peers, eventually revealing pure blackberries, raspberry, cedar and light mint aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very pure and polished with some classy new oak assiduously blended. This is a classy offering and one of the best Cru Bourgeois that I have tasted this vintage. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London.Inc. VAT£138.04 -

Gorgeous ripe fruit character, with loads of blueberries, blackberries and flowers. Full body, with velvety tannins and a fruity, fresh, grapefruit aftertaste. Really beautiful. Best ever from here. Best after 2018.Inc. VAT£638.47 -

The 2019 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has more cohesion and intensity than the Charmes-Chambertin, presenting lovely brambly red berry fruit mingled with potpourri and light loamy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, taut and crisp, displaying good depth and an animated chalky, briny finish. Classic in style, this is a superb Latricières from Faiveley, though it will need cellaring.Inc. VAT£1,459.24 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (95-98)
Medium full purple, this has a lively full raspberry note without exaggeration. There is a just a little bit of white pepper here too, like the Lavaux, but it doesn’t come from whole bunch. This follows through very well on the palate, with great length and perfect balance, and just a touch more fruit volume than the Echezeaux. Tasted: November 2021Inc. VAT£2,596.84 -

Fairly dense crimson in colour. There is a solid weight of fruit on the nose, dark raspberry with some strawberry too. Some depth to this. The 2019 La Lagune offers exquisite transparency on the nose - one of the most terroir-expressive Pessac-Léognan wines this vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, taut and fresh, quite saline with a very integrated and poised finish that lingers in the mouth. The 2015 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a refined bouquet of pretty, slightly tertiary red berry fruit laced with subtle oyster shell scents. The fresh, vibrant, medium-bodied palate presents fine-grained tannin, crisp acidity and a succinct, mineral-driven, detailed finish that does this grand cru proud. Bon vin! The 2019 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, which contains around 60% whole bunch, has a well-defined bouquet of ebullient dark berry fruit laced with light woodland and earthy scents. So much vigor and coiled-up energy! The palate is medium-bodied with wonderful balance, supple tannins, perfectly judged acidity and a crescendo of flavors toward the splendid, mineral-driven finish. The cooler microclimate really benefited this cuvée in 2019, and it is one of the Trapet’s finest contributions to the vintage.Inc. VAT£2,808.04
