Vinous - Antonio Galloni (86-88)
The 2017 Chapelle de Potensac is an attractive second wine from Hubert Delon's Médoc property. Soft, silky and open-knit, the 2017 is quite pretty, but its light to medium-bodied structure suggests it is best enjoyed over the near term. The red berry and floral notes are nicely delineated throughout.Inc. VAT£109.24 -
Jane Anson Inside Bordeaux (94)
A cult Médoc wine from Stéphane Dief, in a vintage that rarely disappoints. The thing I like best about Clos Manou is that it has concentration and polish but never loses its sense of heart, and this is a great example, limbering up at 5 years old, full of liqourice, espresso, blackcurrant and bilberry fruits, plenty of campfire smoke and spice from 70% new oak.Inc. VAT£177.64 -
James Suckling (93)
Deep, dark and rich fruit, from plums to berries. Full bodied, layered, dense and very rich. Best after 2022.Inc. VAT£175.24 -
Discover the sheer opulence of L'Hetre 2019, a quintessential pinnacle bottling from the revered Podio Alto vineyard in the Castillon, Côtes de Bordeaux region. Thoughtfully crafted by the Thienpont family, these dedicated artisans bring generations of winemaking expertise, famed for their distinguished work at Château Le Pin and Vieux Château Certan. L'Hetre 2019 is noted for its elegant blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, aged impeccably in French oak barrels. The result is an exquisitely balanced wine that dances upon the palate with notes of ripe wild berries, laced with subtle undertones of liquorice and cacao. It boasts soft tannins and resonates with a full-bodied aftertaste. L'Hetre 2019 offers an intoxicating bouquet suggesting a rich maturity while still exuding freshness. This universally acclaimed selection perfectly epitomises the idyllic synthesis of tradition, terroir and modern innovation.

Wine Advocate (92-94)
Produced by Denis Durantou of Château L’Eglise Clinet, the 2018 Montlandrie is a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon with 14.5% alcohol and is currently aging in 40% new oak. Deep purple-black in color, it features fragrant notes of lilacs, Morello cherries and blueberry compote over a core of plum preserves and woodsmoke plus a waft of underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate is richly fruited with black and blue fruits, lifted by earthy accents and lovely freshness, finishing long and velvety textured.Inc. VAT£231.64 -
Jane Anson Inside Bordeaux (94)
This is an excellent vintage of Montlandrie, with smoked coffee and cocoa bean, a ton of salinity, powerful blue and red fruits, super juicy on the finish. Enticing curled woodsmoke as it comes out of the glass, slate finish with a scrape of minerality. 40% new oak. Harvest September 30 to October 10.Inc. VAT£151.24
