Treasured amongst oenophiles, the illustrious Silver Oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a testament to dedicated craftsmanship. Sourced from California's acclaimed Napa Valley appellation and produced by Silver Oak Cellars, this prestigious red wine possesses an alluring complexity.
Comprised predominantly of Cabernet Sauvignon with a nuanced addition of Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, this offering was matured for two years in new American oak. The result is a beautifully textured wine, boasting aromas of black cherry, cassis, and mocha. On the palate, traces of dark fruit intermingle with subtle oak nuances, framed exquisitely by well-integrated tannins.
Exhibiting the winery's commitment to sustainable farming, the Silver Oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 offers an exceptional fusion between California terroir and meticulous viticultural practices. Elegant, full-bodied yet perfectly balanced, it earns its reputation as a majestic Napa Cabernet.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst is pliant, supple and inviting. Dark cherry jam, plum, chocolate, spice and new leather are pushed forward in this racy, succulent Cabernet Sauvignon. A wine with no hard edges and plenty of allure, the 2015 will drink well with minimal cellaring. In the Lyndenhurst, readers will find an affordable Cabernet that showcases the best 2015 has to offer, in its peer group, naturally.Inc. VAT£704.47 -

Vinous (95+)
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Cask 23 is powerful and savory in the glass, with tons of both aromatic nuance and supporting structure that give the wine gravitas as well as a very clear sense of direction. The plum, blackberry jam, grilled herb, lavender and dark spice notes are all very finely drawn in this big but polished Cabernet Sauvignon from Stag's Leap Wine Cellars.Inc. VAT£1,573.24 -

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Artemis is a very pretty wine that shows just how alluring the vintage is. Open-knit and silky, Artemis is so inviting today. Crushed flowers, hints of spice, leather, cedar and tobacco add attractive layers of nuance to this mid-weight, gracious Cabernet Sauvignon from Stag's Leap Wine Cellars.Inc. VAT£559.24 -

The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Village, matured in around 25% new oak, has quite a perfumed bouquet with red cherries and rose petal scents, quite airy and nicely focused. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, slightly creamy in texture, gaining weight towards the finish that feels quite caressing.Inc. VAT£402.04 -
The Wine Independent (99)
The 2018 Pym-Rae is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs considerable swirling to unlock evocative, pristine notes of juicy blackberries, ripe blueberries, cassis, and red currant jelly, followed by hints of lavender, crushed rocks, bay leaves, and iron ore, with a fragrant waft of cinnamon and cloves. The densely laden, full-bodied palate bursts with ripe, perfumed black fruits, supported by firm, very finely grained tannins, and fantastic tension, finishing with a long-lasting firework display of red berry and earthy sparks. With a 4–6-hour double-decant, it is delicious now, but if you want that next-level experience, give it a good 5-6 more years in bottle and drink it over the next 40 years+.Inc. VAT£726.24 -
Wine Advocate (92)
Opening in the glass with notions of raspberries, plums, dark chocolate and toasty oak, the 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots is medium to full-bodied, layered and elegant, with good depth and concentration in this charming, supple vintage. While it won't ever match the 2016 and 2015 renditions, it will offer two decades of delicious drinking.Inc. VAT£599.09 -
Halliday Wine Companion (96)
A full-bodied shiraz that reflects cunning winemaking. Whole-berry fermentation has put a rich gloss on the palate without overloading the tannin structure. The predominantly black berry fruit is shot through with licorice, spice and an airbrush of dark chocolate.Inc. VAT£171.64 -
Halliday Wine Companion (97)
The qualitative apogee when it comes to grenache, rivalled by few and equalled only by Yangarra. Even better than the superb 2021. Sourced from the highest, coolest site in the Vale, the venerable Smart vineyard. Ironstone imparts a ferrous bite to pithy sour cherry, cranberry, campfire, pomegranate, tamarind and sandalwood notes with a grind of white pepper across a lattice of pin bone tannins, curtailing sweetness while promoting stunning length. This is excellent. Superb! Transparent and brimming with a sense of pinoté, like a mini Rayas. A great wine of the present as much as the future. Among Australia's very greatest reds. I don't score above 97, but this could be worth a point higher.Inc. VAT£235.24 -

There were 32 barrels of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley produced. It’s a great wine, offering full-bodied richness and depth in a rich, concentrated, satisfying package. Classic Cabernet notes of cassis, tobacco, and chocolate all emerge from the glass, and it has ripe tannins, no hard edges, and the purity that’s the hallmark of the vintage front and center. A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, enjoy bottles any time over the coming 20 years or more.Inc. VAT£821.98 -

Planted in 1946 on a sand dune in the cooler, elevated northeast of McLaren Vale. Hand-picked and sorted in the winery, the fermentation is wild. It is a glorious example of grenache picked earlier than in the past, retaining all the freshness of red cherries/berries, spices starting to build, tannins beautifully shaped.Inc. VAT£223.24
