Vinous (91-93)The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Garenne 1er Cru is more perfumed and floral than the La Garenne. Peach skin and rosewater touches make this very seductive. The palate is composed and harmonious but needs a little more nervosité, yet the finish is very harmonious and tender. Excellent. |

Vinous (91-93)The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has a clean and precise bouquet with beautifully defined citrus fruit laced with crushed stone. The palate is well balanced with good depth and grip, slightly waxy in style, fine acidity with touches of tangerine and orange pith towards the finish. Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (94-96)5 Star Wine. There will be no En la Richarde Folatières from Héritiers Louis Jadot this year, but this bottling is superb. A little more toastiness on the nose. This builds beautifully to the back of the palate, showing an excellent backbone with just the right elegance of minerality. Really good. Bravo Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted: October 2022 |

The Pierre Boisson Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru 2011 is an exceptional synthesis of terroir and talent. Made in Burgundy, France, this extraordinary cuvée comes from the renowned Boisson family's estate in Meursault. Pierre Boisson, an ardent devotee of traditional winemaking, employs meticulous, biodynamic methods to nurture the vines. From restrained yields, this wine is aged in older barrels, showcasing the producer's deft ability to meld audacious techniques with old-world charm. The result is an elegant, balanced white with unique minerality, finely-tuned acid structure, tantalising fruit notes and a long, memorable finish. Each sip embodies the purity of Chardonnay, while the idyllic Auxey-Duresses climate imparts an intriguing complexity. This Pierre Boisson Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru 2011 is the epitome of purity, tradition and fusion, making it an ideal addition to any fine wine collection. |

Burghound (89-92)(from Les Duresses and Grands Champs). Slightly more elegant aromas include those of poached plum, cassis and newly turned earth. The seductive yet dense and powerful bigger-bodied flavors brim with dry extract that helps to buffer the firm tannic spine shaping the solidly persistent finale where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This moderately rustic effort should reward a decade of improvement and last for twice that. (89-92)/2028+ |

Vinous (92-94)The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Champ Gain 1er Cru has the best aromatics of Tawse’s white with delineated, mineral-driven citrus fruit that blossoms in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with fine delineation, citrus fresh with touches of orange zest and nectarine towards the finish that has plenty of energy. Excellent. |

Vinous (92-94)The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru comes from 0.80 hectares of vines up to 45 years old, located close to the woods. Unlike the other two Puligny Premier Crus, it comes from Girardin’s own vines. This has a more clinical bouquet of fine delineation and terroir expression, featuring crushed limestone, cooking apple and a light sea spray note. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and quite saline in the mouth, getting the saliva flowing. Good concentration on the finish. This is an excellent Puligny that should age with style. |
