Wine Advocate (93-95)The 2018 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots is showing brilliantly this year, wafting from the glass with a deep-pitched bouquet of cassis, blackberries, spices and dark chocolate. On the palate, it's full-bodied, rich and enveloping, its textural attack segueing into a deep and layered core, concluding with a long and penetrating finish. |

Vinous (88-90)The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village has quite a high-toned bouquet, though it maintains control, with macerated black cherries, bilberry and violet scents. The palate is medium-bodied, quite firm in the mouth, a pleasant saline touch but it feels just a little hemmed in on the finish. That should loosen-up once its has completed its élevage. |

Vinous (95+)Deep ruby-red. Very reticent but pure aromas of black raspberry, minerals and menthol. Lush on entry, then precise and backward in the middle, with an almost medicinal austerity and outstanding concentration. This expands and explodes on the back end, coating the palate with black cherry, bitter chocolate and mineral flavors. A rare case of a 2003 that seems as primary as most '04s are today, and that will require extended bottle aging. One of the early superstars of the vintage. |

Vinous (91-93)The 2011 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brulées is distinguished by its gorgeous inner intensity and a solid core of expressive red fruit. Firm, powerful, yet also impeccable refined, the Brulées needs a few years to open up. The balance of fruit and tannin is impeccable. At times, the Brulées is at times a bit wild in its aromas and flavors, but texturally it is more polished. There is no shortage of personality here. |

Burghound (92-94)An even spicier and slightly riper nose offers up aromas of plum liqueur, red cherry and a pretty array of floral scents and in particular violet and lavender. The super-sleek, refined and equally energetic middle weight flavors possess a gorgeous texture that carries over to the moderately structured, youthfully austere and beautifully persistent finale. The supporting tannins are more sophisticated if less dense and while this too is going to require extended cellaring, this lovely effort should be reasonably approachable after 8ish or so years. Decanter (95)Always one of Etienne and Mathilde Grivot's stand-out Premier Cru reds, this is not the most immediate of their cuvées at a young age, often displaying some grip and tannic backbone as well as a hint of meaty reduction, but the fruit concentration and depth is remarkable here, supported by chalky minerality and scented 30% new wood. Wonderfully patrician and well-structured. |

Wine Advocate (91)Cherry, blackberry, peat, and game in the nose of the Grivot 2008 Vosne Romanee Reignots set the theme for a firm though juicy palate, and salt, chalk, nut oil, and cherry pit notes in an invigorating, downright refreshing finish reminding me of the extent to which the wines in this collection – by design – showcase Pinot virtues that can also apply to white wines. Since there were only around 350 liters, Grivot elected to supplement a new barrique with a new feuillette, which explains a hint of oak resin and slight sense of tannic stiffness that will hopefully be absorbed. Certainly the wine deserves to be attended to for at least a decade. |

Vinous (92-94)The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Les Rouges 1er Cru has "grown up a lot over the last 10 years," according to Etienne Grivot. It is one of the more reticent cuvées on the nose this year, reluctantly unfolding to reveal more tertiary red berry fruit laced with garrigue and iodine. Good complexity, but these aromatics will need time to open. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, lithe tannins. Quite compact at the moment, this has good grip and a saline, marine-influenced finish that fans out beautifully. A succinct, understated Les Rouge that will give 20-plus years of pleasure. |

Vinous (92-94)A dark, powerful Burgundy, the 2011 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots is another wine deeply marked by site. Renowned for its unwavering commitment to tradition, the Jean-Marc Millot Vosne-Romanee 2021 is a quintessential fine wine from the world-famous appellations of Côte de Nuits, in Burgundy, France. Produced by eminent winemaker, Jean-Marc Millot himself, using hand-harvested, organically grown Pinot Noir grapes, this wine provides an exquisite, vibrant experience for the palate. Reflecting its excellent terroir, it bursts with distinctive aromas of sweet cherries, red berries, and unmistakeable undertones of exotic spices. Matured for 18 months in oak barrels, its sophisticated sensory profile is further enhanced, boasting exceptional balance and a lengthy, refined finish. Suited for age-worthy collections, the Jean-Marc Millot Vosne-Romanee 2021 trumps its predecessors, leaving an unforgettable impression. There's outstanding energy to the sweet black fruit and soil flavors, with the wine's new oak and stem elements perfectly integrated.
