Tim Atkin MW (97)The stand out wine at Bichot in 2012, even though it was made from (very special) purchased grapes. Pepper spicy, concentrated, yet clearly defined it's silky, sweet and beguilingly fruity with very subtle oak integration, fine-grained tannins and a silky, palate-caressing finish. |

Wine Advocate (91-93)The 2016 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru was picked on 28 September, includes 30% whole bunch fruit and matured in 40% new oak. It has a clean, fresh and vibrant bouquet with red cherry, cranberry leaf and fine mineralité coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, impressive depth, quite saline in the mouth with a pinch of spice/black pepper toward the finish. This is a well-crafted Clos de la Roche that should age with style. |

Vinous (91-93)The 2018 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, which comes from Mazoyères, has a fragrant, peppermint-tinged bouquet that is more discreet than others I have tasted. You have to coax the aromas from their shell, touches of violet emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and finely tuned acidity. Quite dense and perhaps requiring a little more delineation and complexity to manifest on the conservative finish. It just needs to turn on the Charmes. |

Vinous (93)The 2019 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is in the Mazoyères area and might be renamed in the not-too-distant future. This has a tightly wound bouquet, the 50% whole bunch nicely integrated. Red berry fruit, cola and light spicy notes unfold in the glass but never fully let go. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, layers of candied red fruit and a modicum of spice, fanning out nicely toward the finish. Very fine. |

Wine Advocate (94)The 2016 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru Le Grand Maupertui is showing very well from bottle, opening in the glass with intense aromas of wild blueberry, cassis, spicy soil tones, licorice and violet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and layered, with excellent depth and dimension at the core, displaying more concentration and fine-grained structure than the 2017 rendition and concluding with a pure, mineral finish. |

Vinous (93-95)The 2017 Clos de Vougeot le Grand Maupertui Grand Cru may well be the domaine’s best wine this vintage. It is endowed with more fruit intensity and presence on the nose, offering vigorous raspberry and crushed strawberry scents, superb mineralité and hints of orange blossom developing in the glass. The well-balanced palate is medium-bodied with fine grip and impressive substance and tension toward the finish. An excellent Clos de Vougeot from Anne and Julie Gros. |

Indulge in the splendour of Anne Gros Echezeaux Grand Cru Les Loachausses 2018, a sublime classic from Burgundy, crafted by one of the region's highly-respected female winemakers. From the fortified 'Les Loachausses' enclave of Echezeaux, this grand cru exhibits exceptional quality and expert production. Delicately hand-picked and sorted, Pinot Noir grapes are carefully de-stemmed prior to meticulous fermentation. Awarded 93 points by respected Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, Anne Gros Echezeaux Grand Cru Les Loachausses 2018 is a harmonious tribute to Anne Gros' winemaking prowess and the region's illustrious terroir. Tim Atkin MW (95)Grown in a single parcel that is 32 years old, this is a winsome Ech zeaux. It's an outpouring of pristine pure red fruits laced with minerality and sprinkled with sweet spices. Outgoing and welcoming, it reminded me of Anne's huge smile. (So often one can see the winemaker in her wine!) The gossamer structure definitely feels rather Vosne-like, even though this second smallest climat sits just about in the heart of Ech zeaux. 2023-36 |

Nicely poised and whilst not built for long-term ageing, it will dish out mid-term pleasure. |

Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (91-94)Good medium red. More serious, tangy aromas of raspberry, minerals and smoke. Vinous (94+)Medium red, a bit less saturated than the Clos Vougeot. Deeper aromas of black raspberry, blueberry, flinty smoky minerality and pepper, along with a whiff of gamey reduction. Bigger, broader and sweeter than the Clos Vougeot, and amazingly supple and plump for a grand cru from this vintage, without any loss of shape. The back end is like a booster rocket of fruits and flowers, which cover the wine's acidity and noble tannins today. I'd love to taste this next to the Clos Vougeot in ten years' time. |

Wine Advocate (92-94+)The 2017 Richebourg Grand Cru reveals a lovely bouquet of Asian spices, plums, raspberries and rose petal, with only subtle hints of the savory nuances of soil and espresso to come with bottle age. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with satiny tannins and a broad, open-knit profile.
