Vinous (88-90)The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru is well-defined on the nose with slightly earthy red berry fruit, touches of crushed stone, slightly peppery (though this is de-stemmed like all Tollot-Beaut’s cuvées.) The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit. Good density here, maybe not the most tensile of the cuvées from the Domaine this vintage, but there is decent weight on the back end. Give it a couple of years in bottle. |

Vinous (88-90)The 2021 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru has an attractive nose with light cranberry, raspberry and briary scents. There's a fine definition, if not huge intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, a crisp line of acidity and a gentle grip toward the citrus-fresh finish. This works better than the Chorey-lès-Beaune. |

Vinous (86-88)The 2019 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Marconnets 1er Cru comes from 1.83 hectares of vine and includes 30% whole bunch. The cohesive, focused bouquet features a mélange of red and black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins and nicely balanced, but as with some of the domaine’s other cuvées, I am seeking more grip and density on the finish. |
