It was harvested toward the end of the harvest to gain concentration, includes 30% whole-bunch fruit and was raised in 50% new oak. I like the nose. Gentle at first, then opening its arms and revealing lovely redcurrant, cranberry and crushed strawberry aromas tinged with gravel. The palate is medium-bodied with fine but firm tannin, a fine bead of acidity and good structure—you can feel this gripping the mouth so that the saline finish is almost like a Morey-Saint-Denis. This is a great wine and it should provide longevity if you swing that way. |

It was harvested toward the end of the harvest to gain concentration, includes 30% whole-bunch fruit and was raised in 50% new oak. I like the nose. Gentle at first, then opening its arms and revealing lovely redcurrant, cranberry and crushed strawberry aromas tinged with gravel. The palate is medium-bodied with fine but firm tannin, a fine bead of acidity and good structure—you can feel this gripping the mouth so that the saline finish is almost like a Morey-Saint-Denis. This is a great wine and it should provide longevity if you swing that way. |
