Margaux
Margaux, the largest AOC in Médoc, is a significant wine appellation in Bordeaux with 20 Cru Classé properties from the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, more than any other Left Bank AOCs. The region is home to the world-renowned Château Margaux, along with other blue-chip wineries like Château Palmer and Château Rauzan Ségla. Margaux's soils have a high gravel content, offering excellent drainage and low nutrient levels compared to Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe. This unique terroir produces refined and elegant wines that are distinct from other regions of Bordeaux.
We are proud to offer a diverse selection of Margaux wines, each with its own unique character and flavor profile. From the rich and powerful Cabernet Sauvignon blends to the silky and smooth Merlot-dominant wines, our Margaux wines are crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. Experience the elegance and refinement of Margaux wines today. Browse our selection and discover why Margaux is considered one of the greatest wine appellations in the world.

Experience the exquisite taste of Angludet 2023, a testament to the superb winemaking skills of the Sichel family. This exceptional vintage is grown on the left bank of Bordeaux, nurtured within the Margaux appellation, amidst a natural amphitheatre of 32 hectares of vineyards. The soil, a precise blend of gravel, sand, and clay, creates an optimum environment for the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes, ensuring a wine of distinct character. Crafted in the tradition of the best Bordeaux wines, Angludet 2023 undergoes meticulous tending, manual harvesting, and careful ageing in French oak barrels. The result is a remarkable wine, full-bodied and richly complex in flavour, with notable tannin structure and an elegant finish. Expect nuances of blackcurrant, cherry, and herbs on the palate, underscored by subtle cigar box spiciness. The Angludet 2023 is no ordinary quaff. It is an indulgence in the authentic French heritage of viticulture, speaking volumes of the fine art of winemaking. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (91)The 2017 Boyd-Cantenac is noticeably deep in colour. It has a very intense bouquet with baked black cherries mixed with iodine and light violet aromas, becoming more floral with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, but clearly much more backward than its peers with a strong Pauillac-inspired, graphite finish. A really interesting Margaux that I am fascinated to see evolve. |
