Juicy, pure and tightly wound, showing none of the exotic character of the Chatenière. This very concentrated, dry, linear wine finishes with terrific slowly unfolding length and precision--a bit austere today but not hard. Rémilly is just over the hill from Chevalier-Montrachet, so it's no coincidence that this is an outperformer for its appellation. Only 50% frost here, noted Pierre-Yves Colin. Lay this one down. |

Vinous (91-93)From two parcels on the Pernand side and Les Longuettes, around half each, the 2021 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has an intense nose with potpourri and orange blossom mixed with lavender (it reminds me of my grandmother's bathroom, but you are probably not familiar with that.) Anyway, this is beguilingly very aromatic. The palate is fresh and vibrant with orange rind and quince, fine depth, quite "strict" for a Corton Charlemagne with a tangy, marmalade-tinged finish.
