Lovely unctuous texture here, it's fat but smooth - like thick smooth fruity caramel, quite defined and straight but with a roundness and generosity with pineapple, mango, violet even giving an appealing florality, and these lovely almost bitter orange edges. From the domaine’s largest parcel, at 1.07 hectares, and planted in the 1950s, the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Hameau de Blagny 1er Cru has a complex bouquet of lemon thyme and honeysuckle, touches of basalt coming through with time. The palate is very harmonious with quince jus on the entry and a little more spiciness on the finish compared to the La Garenne. A lovely blood orange note lingers on the aftertaste. Gorgeous nose full of exotic spices, candied fruit, orange, apricot and honeyed brioche. Lovely unctuous texture here, it's fat but smooth - like thick smooth fruity caramel, quite defined and straight but with a roundness and generosity with pineapple, mango, violet even giving an appealing florality, and these lovely almost bitter orange edges. It's still a bit young but with great vibrancy right now, acidity which gives energy and life all the way through. Lifted and bright.In Bond£239.00
