The palate is very well balanced with supple tannins, a keen line of acidity and a chalky-textured finish that is extremely well focused. This is a great success for Denis Lurton and his team. The Amour de Deutz bursts from the glass with endless layers of mineral-infused fruit, showing marvelous intensity and richness. Pears, apples and flowers linger on the finish. Disgorged 12/10/2009.
