Sappier than the Blagny, showing good citrussy energy and a savory quality. Nicely concentrated but less refined and elegant than the Blagny. Sulfited the week prior to my visit, the 2019 Meursault Poruzots 1er Cru nevertheless showed impressive clarity on the nose of honeysuckle, lemon thyme and walnut aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a sappy entry, a fine bead of acidity and a little more precision than the Meursault-Blagny by direct comparison.
