Margaux
Margaux, the largest AOC in Médoc, is a significant wine appellation in Bordeaux with 20 Cru Classé properties from the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, more than any other Left Bank AOCs. The region is home to the world-renowned Château Margaux, along with other blue-chip wineries like Château Palmer and Château Rauzan Ségla. Margaux's soils have a high gravel content, offering excellent drainage and low nutrient levels compared to Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe. This unique terroir produces refined and elegant wines that are distinct from other regions of Bordeaux.
We are proud to offer a diverse selection of Margaux wines, each with its own unique character and flavor profile. From the rich and powerful Cabernet Sauvignon blends to the silky and smooth Merlot-dominant wines, our Margaux wines are crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. Experience the elegance and refinement of Margaux wines today. Browse our selection and discover why Margaux is considered one of the greatest wine appellations in the world.

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (95)The 2017 Durfort-Vivens is fabulous, not to mention one of the under the radar gems of the year. Rich and explosive in feel, the 2017 possesses tremendous intensity in every direction. Sweet floral notes, cedar, mint and spice add shades of nuance as this potent, vertically built Margaux opens up in the glass. In 2017, severe frost took with it 35% of the production. The fruit that survived produced an epic, marvelously rich Durfort-Vivens. Don't miss it. |

Scoring double 96 points from the Wine Advocate's William Kelley and Decanter alongside double 95 points from Jane Anson of Inside Bordeaux and Vinous's Antonio Galloni, this blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot wowed Hindle so much that she 'immediately wanted another glass'. The palate is 'deep and concentrated' (WA) but with this being countered by 'so much clarity and freshness' (DC), it is 'hard not to be impressed by the balance on display here' (JA). A Margaux with serious agebility, this 2019 vintage has a drinking window up to 2065.  This Durfort-Vivens 2019 really is a 'brilliant Margaux' (WA). As William Kelley states, 'anyone who isn’t aware of just how good Gonzague Lurton’s wines are these days should taste a bottle' of this. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (90)The 2017 Grand Tayac has a bold bouquet with vigorous blackberry, wild strawberry and crushed rose petal aromas - aromatics that do not hold back! The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Perhaps the oak comes across a little too much on the finish, but there is good structure with an appealing velvety finish. Very fine. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (85)The 2018 Grand Tayac has a rather smudged, slightly oaky nose that dampens the fruit and terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite dense for a Margaux and just missing some delineation on the rather monotone finish. It needs more flair and personality. |
