The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, very harmonious, velvety smooth with deftly integrated oak towards the surprisingly concentrated, blueberry-tinged finish. Vinous (90-93)

(Tremblay took over these 15-year-old vines in 2009; not destined for the U.S. market): Dark red. Sappy nose combines minerals, flowers and earth; I would have picked it blind as Vosne-Romanee. Then juicy and spicy on the palate, offering black raspberry and brown spice flavors lifted by minerals. Nice density without weight here, and very bright on the long, juicy finish. Sexy juice.

Vinous (91)

Dark red-ruby. Musky, very ripe, soil-driven scents of black raspberry, black cherry and menthol. Silky and fine-grained yet backward today owing to its medicinal reserve. This wine is hiding its sweetness in the early going but it displays lovely phenolic ripeness, not to mention good energy. I'd give it at least three or four years in the cellar.

Vinous (94)

The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Cras 1er Cru has quite a heavily reduced nose with a touch of Wellington boot. Don't worry about that - it just needs time. The palate is medium-bodied with blackberry, raspberry and tobacco scents. I think it should pull through with time. Gritty tannins, a fine bead of acidity, quite linear and poised with fine weight on the finish. One of the standouts of the appellation in 2018. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.

Vinous (88-90)

The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Vignes Rondes has a perfumed, floral bouquet, a mixture of red cherries, cranberry and rose petal that open nicely with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy red berry fruit and chalky textured with a stern and rather rigid finish. It is just a little too dry on the end but maybe it will gain some flesh with bottle age?

Medium red. Cherry and smoke on the slightly rustic nose. Plump and broad on the palate, conveying a touch of sweetness to its redcurrant and soil flavors. Finishes with broad, fine-grained tannins, but a touch of bitter-edged cranberry dries the aftertaste. I tasted a suave, minerally Nuits Saint-Georges Les Procès last year from barrel, but I'm not as wild about this Pruliers from bottle.

Vinous (88)
